Writing skills are essential for success at school, in many vocations, and particularly in higher education. It is common to find children who experience difficulties with legibility of print (poor handwriting), display slowness in copying or taking notes, or make frequent spelling errors. Other children may have problems in expressing their verbal ideas effectively through written language or difficulties in organizing their thoughts on paper. These children may have fine-motor difficulties, organizational problems, a low tolerance for frustration, limited working-memory skills, and problems in sustaining attention and effort to tasks.
